Note the beauty of square rivets on pivot.
Work from Southern Germany, Nuremberg?
this hallmark should be recorded. Early Period, 16th or 17th century.
Dimensions: 22cm x 6.5cm.
Condition: good, nice patina, but the rectangular brass case, which was originally stapled to the upright, has undergone some rather unsightly welded reinforcements, which nevertheless saved this beautiful object (red arrow). Another reinforcement near pivot of lid, better executed.
Good condition, little wear, a few minor marks. Please examine our photos carefully.
