Christofle Paris – Silver-plated Copper Candlestick, Cluny Model
Candlestick by the house of CHRISTOFLE in Paris, Cluny model, inspired by the classical forms of the reign of LOUIS XIV. The octagonal socket rises above an elegantly tapering faceted stem, set on a broad stepped base with architectural mouldings. The candlestick is made of two assembled parts in silver plated copper.
Marks struck beneath the base, including the applied CHRISTOFLE plaque, the OC mark with balance and stars in an oval within a hatched rectangle, and the IOC mark featuring a chess knight.

Condition report
Very fine condition. Light and even wear to the silver plate on the edges, revealing the copper beneath.
