A service of this model is supplied to Aristide BRIAND. A leading figure of the French Third Republic, several times President of the Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs, he embodies French diplomacy at the beginning of the twentieth century and receives the 1926 Nobel Peace Prize for his work towards Franco-German reconciliation. The refinement of his service reflects the prestige associated with commissions placed with the BACCARAT crystal works by the political and diplomatic elite of his time.
