Louis XV Secretary
A charming small Parisian secretary desk from the Louis XV period (mid-18th century), veneered and inlaid with rosewood, kingwood, and satinwood. It opens with a drop-front, a drawer in the upper section, and two doors in the lower section. The restored gray marble top and the original locks are also original (they operate with three keys). This refined piece has been restored and French polished by us; it is impeccable and fully functional. Stamped N. GREVENICH, for Nicolas Grevenich, a Parisian master cabinetmaker in 1768.
