Superb Empire period mercury-gilt bronze and crystal portico clock. The four columns and the pendulum are crafted from crystal and finely chased gilt bronze. The base, resting on four acanthus leaf feet, and the patinated copper cornice contrast perfectly with the Empire-style gilt bronze sculptures, such as rams' heads and cornucopias. The clock is a Parisian movement, serviced by us, in perfect working order, and chimes softly and discreetly on every hour.
