A Louis XVI period salon suite in carved and gilded wood, comprising a sofa and six armchairs à la Reine.

This elegant Louis XVI sofa features an oval back, entirely carved and gilded, resting on seven tapered and fluted legs. The back, seat, and armrests are upholstered in finely woven crimson lampas, providing a refined contrast to the gilded wood.

The woodwork displays a rich twisted ribbon motif running around the entire perimeter of the back, armrests, and seat rail. The connecting blocks are adorned with small carved rosettes, while the turned legs, typical of the Louis XVI style, are decorated with fluted and reeded details and terminate in delicate feet in the shape of a spinning top.

The elegantly curved, recessed armrests extend into carved scrolls and are fitted with matching armrests.
