Important Stylized Floral Vase By Daum Nancy, Era Gallé, Schneider, Muller - Art Deco 1930
Artist: Daum Nancy Croix De Lorraine
A large and imposing stylized floral vase in the Art Deco style, circa 1930, made of translucent smoked cristal by master glassmaker Daum in Nancy. Its wide, corolla-shaped opening rests on a footed base. The vegetal decoration depicts a flower opening with alternating acid-etched motifs and broad veins, a subtle interplay between smooth and scratched areas that demonstrates the glassmaker's mastery. Signed on base: Daum Nancy, Cross of Lorraine.
