Bosco's (boatswain's) baton (for the crew chief on a sailing ship, of higher rank than quartermaster) made of woven whalebone, weighted at both ends with lead balls. These balls are covered with incomplete ropework, the original braided wrist strap is present.

Condition report: very good used condition, well-made overall, some missing ropework covering the ends.
