A wild hunting scene with an eagle pulling a fish from the lake, created in 1881, has been attributed, based on its style and monogram, to the renowned German animal and landscape painter of the Munich School, Friedrich Voltz (1817–1886, Munich).
It is signed with the artist's monogram FV (illuminated) and dated 1881 (see photo). In addition to his well-known subjects featuring cows, the artist also painted hunting scenes in the Alps.

Dimensions: unframed 61 x 80 cm, framed 71 x 90 cm.
Condition: good overall condition, professionally relined in the past.
