18th Century Carved And Gilded Linden Wood Mirror
A richly carved and gilded Italian Rococo-style mirror in linden wood, late 18th century. The arched upper section, decorated with openwork scrolls adorned with florets, is surmounted by a large, delicately carved, undulating shell. The sides are decorated with flowering branches ending in leafy scrolls, joined by a finely carved crossbar with florets and a stylized shell in the center. Original gold leaf gilding in very good condition (minor old restorations). Venetian work from the late 18th century.
