Portrait of a young Roman girl executed in 1872 by the highly regarded French artist Joseph Joseph Lecointe (1824 Paris - 1886 Asnières). Lecointe studied under Picot and Aligny (1849 - Grand Prix de Rome).
He exhibited mythological, religious, and rural portraits at the Salon from 1843 to 1870. His works can be seen in the museums of Angers, Bernay, Poitiers, Rouen, and Paris.
