Pre-columbian Volcanic Stone Frog Sculpture, Mesoamerica, C.1000–1500 Ad

Carved volcanic stone sculpture depicting a stylised frog, a symbol associated with fertility, rain, and renewal in Pre-Columbian cultures.

Executed in dense porous lava stone with simple geometric modelling and a strong archaic presence. Such carvings were created across ancient Mesoamerica, including Mexico and Guatemala, often as ritual or votive figures linked to agricultural deities and water symbolism.

Good condition, with natural surface weathering and mineral patina consistent with age.
