"Seal, Tibet Or Nepal, 13.5 Cm"
The rectangular body is made of antique bakelite or reconstituted amber, recognizable by its veined orange color. The mounts are made of silver-plated metal, finely chiseled with floral and spiral motifs characteristic of the craftsmanship of these regions. The spherical lid is adorned with engraved relief motifs and inlaid with small stones (turquoise, coral), typical of Tibetan or Buddhist objects. The base, decorated with a stylized circular motif, recalls the ritual seals called chops; here, the conch shell is visible, referencing the eight astamangalas, auspicious Tibetan symbols of good fortune. Second half of the 20th century, height: 13.5 cm
