"Pair Of Lacquered And Gilded Vases Decorated With Persimmons, Napoleon III Period"

Made of papier-mâché, our large vases are very representative of the productions of the Napoleon III era. They are lacquered and gilded in imitation of Japanese lacquer. Beautifully shaped and imposing in size, they are decorated with a continuous motif of persimmon fruit and blossoms. Despite two small chips and two areas where the lacquer is lost (see photos), they are in very good condition. They are superb decorative pieces that could also be used as lamps.
