"Wrought Iron Door, Two Locks, 17th Century. (186cm X 112cm)"
Rare and exceptional wrought iron door dating from the second half of the 17th century. It has two locks, one at the top and one at the bottom. It also has a sliding bolt, and a handle in the middle. This very decorative and functional door could have been used in the past in an armory. Most doors from this period are rather made of wood clad with iron, this one is entirely made of iron. Very nice patina. This door is in good condition, note the absence of a key. There must also have been another lock in the middle, but the original screw threads and nuts are still present if you wish to add a third lock. Dimensions: 186cm high, 112cm wide. (105cm wide without the protrusion of the fittings).
