Terracotta owl with polychromy pigments. It is standing sideways with open eyes. In China, the owl symbolizes wisdom and luck, partly because its name can be homophonous with auspicious terms. Period: Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220). Dimensions: Height: 18 cm; width: 9 cm. Conditions: Good general condition, nice preservation of the polychromy. Provenance: Former Belgian collection.
