This Baroque-style hand mirror features a finely chiselled, partially gilded silver frame with hinges. The intricately carved handle depicts a cherub holding a garland of golden grapes and fruit, evoking abundance and the world of Bacchus. The mirror frame is composed of a crown of vine branches, embellished with green enamelled leaves, gilded grape clusters and small gilded birds perched here and there on the frame. Original bevelled mirror.
