"The Barn. Watercolor. 1945"
This painting is an unsigned watercolor dated on the back 10/08/45. It depicts a country building and its gate. The foreground on the left, right, and top is occupied by vegetation, which gives depth to the scene. But what is more striking is that the painting exudes a great cheerfulness. There is a contrast between the rusticity of the building and the play of light, shadows, and the flamboyant palette of colors. The painting has been professionally framed. It measures 42.5 × 35 cm with the frame and 31 × 24 cm without the frame.
