17th Century German Saxony Dagger
A fine rare museum quality Saxon left hand dagger
The blued iron hilt comprised of strongly arched flat quillions in the classic Saxon manner with spatulate “fish-tail” ends each with central flute between incised lines. Compressed fig-shaped pommel of octagonal section.
The blade is in fine condition with a large double edged blade with long ricasso and single short fuller.
The blade is marked close to the quillon block.
