Spanish Hand and Half Sword from Toledo
Straight blade with a double fuller and a small groove in the centre, approximately 15cm long, engraved on both sides. Maximum blade width: 35mm, total sword length: 105cm.
Some light movement with the pommel and guard, the whole sword is non the less very solid and in a superb state..
The sword is dated from the 1480’s and believed to have been made By Ruiz of Toledo. Very rare for sword to survive from this period let alone of Spanish origins.
The original certificate of authenticity from the antique dealer who sold it is included.
