Five volumes gathered in a large folio volume (37 × 25 × 8.5 cm). Vignette on wood engraved with the titles of parts I and III. Dedicatory epistle to Pope Gregory XIII. Portrait of Tertullian in medallion (p. 16), wood engraving (p. 440) and figure (p. 1101). Decorated with headbands, initials and lamp bases. Text entirely in Latin. Some old traces of minor humidity. Bound in full brown sheepskin from the period, decorated ribbed spine, damaged caps, trimmed corners. Good interior condition. A complete edition of Tertullian's works, based on those of Pamelius, accompanied by his Vita Tertulliani, critical notes, and conjectural corrections. A fine copy of an important monument of Latin patristics, printed in Rouen in the mid-17th century, decorated with engravings and decorative elements typical of the great Norman religious printings.
