"18th Century Reliquary Cross"
Reliquary cross circa 1700 in walnut carved with Christ on all sides, God the Father, Mary pierced by a sword (This is where the words of Simeon are fulfilled, who, moved by the Holy Spirit, had said to Mary: "And a sword will pierce your soul".) the back carved with the instruments of the passion. The interior of the cross is hollowed out, revealing a set of 10 relics surrounded by gold thread trimmings and small pearls. Bone plaques are positioned at the ends of the cross. Missing the attachment at the top of the crucifix. The set is in good condition, patina of time.
