18th century fan, Louis XV period. The leaf is made of leather painted with gouache of two figures in a park. Beautiful Chinese import mount in pierced, engraved, gilded ivory inlaid with mother-of-pearl decorated with birds and flowers. Sold with its CITES certificate. A small visible lack at the end of the head of one of the main strands. It measures 11,42 inches closed and 22,83 inches in diameter open. Circa 1730 / 1740.
