Antique Fan, Louis XVI Period, Gouache And Mother-of-pearl
A beautiful Louis XVI period fan. The double leaf is painted in gouache with a charming gallant scene in a park, and on the reverse, a couple picnicking. The mount is in engraved and two-tone gilded mother-of-pearl decorated with scrolls, musical symbols, and a swan on the main ribs. It measures 10,63 inches closed and 18,89 inches in diameter. It is in very good condition, the colors are very fresh. France, circa 1775.
