This 19th-century Sevillian, Spain rosary combines simple yet elegant materials: mother-of-pearl beads linked together with a silvered chain and a finely crafted silvered crucifix.

Rosaries are devotional objects used above all in the Catholic tradition for prayer and meditation, guiding the faithful through a sequence of prayers—most notably the Hail Mary and the Our Father—while contemplating the mysteries of the life of Christ and the Virgin Mary.
