Saint Julian Saint Petronilla John Francis Regis Relic Reliquary + Document

Devotional reliquary containing an important relic of:

Saint Julian, Martyr

Saint Petronilla, Virgin

Saint John Francis Regis.

This nineteenth-century oval reliquary presents three individually labelled particles against a red textile ground, framed by a decorative beaded border beneath glass. Its removable cover bears a beautifully embossed Sacred Heart, surrounded by radiating light and scrolling ornament. A suspension loop completes this intimate object of Catholic devotion, suited to a cherished prayer collection.

Reliquary guarantee

On the reverse is an apparently original episcopal wax seal, securing red threads and consistent with the ecclesiastical sealing described in the accompanying document. These features support its historical devotional context, although photographs alone cannot establish uninterrupted sealing.

The certificate bears the name and signature of His Excellency Leopoldo Angelo Santanchè, Archbishop and Bishop of Fabriano and Matelica, together with an embossed ecclesiastical seal.

Condition

Good overall antique condition, with age-related metal wear, some oxidation, and folds and edge wear to the certificate. The devotional arrangement remains preserved.
