Object description :

"Les Arcs Two-door Sideboard By Charlotte Perriand "
Charlotte Perriand, the renowned French architect and designer, was known for her minimalist furniture inspired by the mountains and Japan. She believed that good design contributed to a better society by eliminating what was unnecessary to create functional living spaces. Her visionary design for the Les Arcs ski resort in France is beautifully captured in this two-door wall unit. It combines the charm of solid pine, laminate, and lacquered panels. The top features a green laminate surface framed by a sturdy solid pine border. The doors and sides are elegantly clad in white lacquered veneer, accented by two solid pine handles. It comes from the resort of Les Arcs 1800 and was designed for the Les Belles Challes-Lauzières residences in 1973. References: Charlotte Perriand, Complete Works, Volume 4, by Jacques Barsac.
