Paris, Editions G. Crès et Cie in 1926. Very careful facsimile of the journal kept by Paul Gauguin during his first stay in Tahiti in 1891-1893. Illustrated with drawings, watercolors and woodcuts. The original manuscript, kept by George-Daniel de Monfreid, was donated by the latter to the Louvre Museum in 1927. Limited edition of 100 copies printed on the Presses de Ganymed in Berlin by the Marées-Gesellschaft and under the direction of M. Meier-Graefe. This Hors Commerce copy with its personal number was intended for Agnès Huc née de Monfreid (label on the inside cover). In-4.
