Walnut Secretary First Half Of The 19th Century

Elegant Louis Philippe secretary in solid blond walnut. The secretary has a wooden top and a drawer in the upper section. The front is framed by twisted columns and features three ergonomic drawers carved with diamonds and a drop-leaf door at the bottom. The desk has onion-shaped legs. The drop-leaf door conceals an internal cherrywood cabinet. This consists of an open compartment, divided by a small shelf, bordered by two turned pilasters and a drawer unit at the top, while the lower section houses five small drawers. The interior of the drop-leaf door is covered in brown leather, embellished with a frame with plant-based carvings. This secretary is a well-crafted piece of furniture and is in good condition, capable of furnishing any space with taste and understated elegance. Italian manufacture, Louis Philippe style, first half of the 19th century.
