Chinese Jin Dynasty Cizhou Ware Dish, 12th–13th Century

A finely potted stoneware dish with gently rounded sides rising from a short foot, covered overall in a lustrous black glaze, splashed with russet-brown floral decoration in the interior. The reverse shows attractive olive and black glaze streaking, stopping neatly above the foot to reveal the buff stoneware body.
