Dragon Saber 1854-82
Dragoon saber mle 1854 transformed 1882 brass mount, four-branch guard, wooden fuse covered with filigree sheepskin (sheepskin shrunk over time). Main guard branch serialized with the same numbers as the scabbard. Steel sheet scabbard has a bail ring. Blade engraved on the back "manuf d'armes de chat.. May 1873 = dragoon mle 1854 trs 1882". Blade with its so-called "war" sharpening. Saber in good condition, scabbard to be cleaned.
