The firm was founded by Casimir Aucoc in 1821 in Paris, first on Rue St. Honoré and then on Rue de la Paix.
The Aucoc firm provided services to the family of King Louis-Philippe, the House of Orleans, Napoleon III, and Empress Eugénie.
André Aucoc was a renowned Parisian goldsmith and jeweler who received a gold medal at the 1889 Universal Exhibition and first prize at the 1900 Universal Exhibition, where he was also awarded the Legion of Honor.
René Lalique, the celebrated Art Nouveau artist and designer, was an apprentice of Aucoc from 1874 to 1876.
