"Mid-19th Century Three Rauenstein Porcelain Seasons Figures"
A refined trio of polychrome porcelain figurines, predominantly white and blue, with small gold decorations that enhance their refinement. The figurines are allegories of the seasons: Winter, Autumn, and Summer. Winter is depicted as a woman wearing a veil and a long robe, with birds and branches at her feet. Autumn, on the other hand, is a drunken, overbalanced woman wearing a short robe and holding a bunch of grapes and a chalice. Finally, Summer is depicted as a woman wearing a light robe, bare breasts, a laurel wreath, and holding crops. The figurines are in good condition and are unique in their refinement. There is also the possibility of inserting an arm for a candle or electrification, due to the presence of a hole on the back in the tree trunk. The mark on the bottom attributes their production to the Rauenstein workshop (Germany), around the mid-19th century.
