Mid-18th Century Green Marble Column With Graffito
Elegant turned column in green Alpine marble. The column features an octagonal base and a circular top with moldings. The shaft is smooth and features a graffito beneath the echinus, depicting the famous Lion of Venice. Please note that the column also has minor defects and small restorations. This is an object of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class to any space, ideal for embellishing furnishings and also functional as a pedestal for sculptures or vases. Venetian manufacture, mid-18th century.
