Beautiful cast iron fireback, probably made by the Stern foundry. 43.5 cm x 50.5 cm. Cast iron firebacks produced by the Stern foundry are iconic pieces, often sought after for their craftsmanship and decorative value. Stern firebacks from the 1950s and later are often decorated with artistic reliefs, sometimes signed by renowned designers or artists (such as L. Martinez or Jacques Sergeff).
