"Pair Of Patinated And Gilded Bronze Candelabras, Louis XVI Period"
Pair of finely chiseled, patinated and gilded bronze candelabras, featuring two vestals draped in long antique robes. Each supports a cornucopia topped with a flame from which emerge three arabesque-shaped arms of light chiseled with eagle heads topped with a socket. They rest on a cylindrical white marble base placed on a quadrangular gilded bronze plinth. The whole, in its original gilding, is decorated with chains, leafy friezes, rosettes and rows of pearls. Parisian work in very good condition.
