Louis XV Period Office Chair
Louis XV period cabinet armchair in finely carved beech, darkened with cane. The gondola-shaped backrest, vigorously curved and of beautiful width, whose "crossbar continues to the armrests so that the backrest seems to continue all around the seat", rests on a seat with a rounded, projecting scalloped belt on the front. The curved legs are arranged at the four axial points for greater stability. The whole is decorated with fleurons, falls, shells, acanthus leaves and a small flower.
