Large pewter BOTTLE known as a "plungeon" or "ferrière" with an ovoid body, short foot and long neck closing with a screw cap topped with a ring. It has two swinging side rings with a mandorla-shaped base.
Height: 43.5 cm.
TOULOUSE, 18th century.

Superb quality and condition, offering a very beautiful decorative presence.
The neck unscrews at the middle part, a technical improvement facilitating cleaning.
These bottles were often immersed in wells to cool the wine.
