Japan - Sho-dansu - Keyaki And Cypress - Showa
Very nice Sho-Dansu. Consisting of six sliding doors, one hinged door and three drawers. These chests are for storing poetry, music and fiction books for personal use. Sho-Dansu are usually constructed with a closed frame of cryptomeria or cypress. The panels are made of Zelkova (Keyaki) wood with a very beautiful grain. Origin: Japan. Period: Showa period (1926-1989) Dimensions: Height: 91.5 cm; Length: 81 cm; Width: 31 cm. Condition: Very good condition.
