Regency Armchair, 18th Century.
This large and beautiful armchair in natural wood is from the Regency period, the belt carved with shell, stylized leaves and small scrolls rests on front legs decorated with a shell on a large leaf at the connection and a small scroll topped with two fleurons at the end of the foot. The armrests and armrest supports are richly embellished with acanthus leaves, shells, fleurons, curves and counter-curves. The rear legs end in a scroll and the back is fully upholstered. In good general condition, this venerable seat would deserve the upholstery to be reworked and the fabric which covers it replaced. Regency period Height 109 cm, width 70 cm, seat depth 64 cm.
