Victorian Heart Pendant In Gold-studded Tortoiseshell, Late 19th Century
This is a lovely late 19th century Victorian heart pendant with a yellow gold and silver decoration of flowers surrounded by a garland motif. These motifs are engraved and inlaid into the surface of the brown tortoiseshell.
On the back is inlaid with the initials EC in gold.
Wide bail with unmarked bevelled sides, tested silver with a touchstone.
A centuries-old craft known as "piqué" work.
Perfect condition, it has a beautiful shine, with no wear or scratches!
Victorian period circa 1880.
