"Large Baroque Crucifix. Circa 1700."
Remarkable crucifix depicting Christ on the cross, on a reliquary base. Christ in bronze presented in its beautiful old patina and surmounted by the symbols INRI and INBI (Latin and Greek) as well as in Hebrew. The semi-octagonal base, made of rosewood veneer, is decorated with all its original bronzes. Some losses to the veneer visible in the photos. The whole resting on six bronze feet. Presented as is. No restoration except for the metal piece at the back of the cross.
