Tribal Afshar rug (southeastern Iran), first half of the 20th century. The field is covered with the classic Mina Khani lattice of rosettes, framed by a main border decorated with stylised birds. Made of hand-spun wool in traditional colours (indigo, madder red, ivory, light blue/green). Woven with red wefts, typical of Afshar rugs; likely symmetric knot.Size: 208 × 140 cm.Condition: good, with normal signs of use; short, tidy fringes.
