At the center of the composition stands the figure of the Dove of the Holy Spirit, carved in marble relief, now missing its head. The bird, with outstretched wings, is set within a crown of clouds, where traces of metallic elements are still visible: originally, it most likely included a gilded radiant glory symbolizing divine light.
The piece is framed by a moulded border in white marble with polychrome red marble inlays, following a decorative practice typical of Venetian Baroque art in the 17th century. Despite some losses and old restorations, it retains a strong devotional and decorative impact, a testimony to the religious sculpture of the Baroque period.
