Oil on cardboard. Late 19th century. This painting is an intimate and luminous rural scene. In the foreground, three figures stand at the edge of a small stream or pond. In the center, a woman wearing a long ivory dress stands slightly leaning on a cane. She is framed to the left by a young woman in a long pink dress and to the right by a young man in short pants and a shirt. The background consists of dense, green vegetation, painted in green and yellow tones, with impressionist touches that suggest light filtering through the foliage. There is depth in the composition. The whole gives off a peaceful, family and summery atmosphere, with a touch of naturalism mixed with an impressionist technique. Dimensions: 35 × 26 cm
