Elegantpresidential desk entirely veneered in rosewood, embellished with gilded bronzetrim and handles. The gilded bronze trim, featuring splendid gilding, furtherenhances the refinement of this desk, as do the band surrounding the top, thevegetal curls on the front and legs, and a sun medallion on the sides. The deskis also distinguished by its curved legs and its slightly wavy shape on allsides. The exquisite top is covered in calfskin, decorated with small vegetalincisions along the edges and in the center. The desk is also a central desk,equipped with drawers on both sides, but they only open from the front. Thisdesk is a unique piece of furniture, capable of furnishing any space with tasteand refinement. French manufacture, first half of the 19th century.
