Elíseo Esteve Candela, a painter from Alicante born in 1925, trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. After abandoning sculpture, he devoted himself to painting, specializing in religious subjects and portraits. One of his most notable activities was his work as a copyist, which he developed during his years in Madrid.
