- Oil on canvas.- Pierre Jacquelin, born in France in 1944, is an artist with an eclectic background. Trained at the École Boulle in Paris, he specialized in engraving and etching. Throughout his career, he explored different professions that influenced his art: from creating jewelry for Van Cleef & Arpels in 1967 to caricature and illustration for sports magazines and books. In the early 1980s, Jacquelin returned to his roots as an engraver and fine art printer, before discovering pastel. Today, his most recognized works are his hyperrealist paintings. The delicacy and romanticism of his hyperrealist works are his most famous and have earned him a notable presence in Swiss galleries.
