BARRIER Gustave (1871-1953)
French school 19th-20th Century
He was pupil of Gérôme, Vincent, Chevillard, Jules Lefèbvre and Tony Robert Fleury.
He was member of the French Artists Society and exposed starting from 1911. Honourable mention in 1926 and a silver medal in 1928.
He painted many canvas opposing the glare of the porcelains to the matity of the ivories. But he was also the painter of genre scenes of Louis XIII period, showing gentlemen and musketeers.
