- Table mat, black cotton canvas ennobled with embroidery and trimmings in golden metallic threads, work from the end of the 19th century.

- This table mat in black cotton canvas develops a rich decoration of embroidered ennoblements; a central medallion distanced by a wide border of ornaments then a trimming of golden metallic threads completing the frame of the carpet. The embroideries enliven the composition of abundant plant motifs with in particular numerous scrolls and flowering branches in spikes. The floral motifs appear in relief thanks to embroidery of metallic threads on yellow silk core in stitches thrown on cutouts.

- The golden metallic threads used for embroidery and trimmings bring brilliance and offer an elegant contrast with the depth of black.
